Scholarship Overview

The Douglas County Association of REALTORS (DCAR) Scholarship is designed to support graduating high school seniors from the Class of 2025 and 2026 who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a connection to the real estate community.

Eligibility Requirements

Students must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be a graduating high school senior from the Class of 2025 or 2026
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Be a resident of Douglas County, Oregon at the time of graduation
  • Be related to a current DCAR member/affiliate or sponsored by a SCAR member/affiliate (local realtor or affiliate vendor). A list of DCAR members and affiliates available upon requst via email address below or check under Membership or Affiliates on this website.
  • Submit all required material by the application deadline.

Required Application Materials

  1. Completed DCAR Scholarship Application
  2. Current high school transcript (official or unofficial)
  3. Resume outlinging academic achievements, extracurricular activities, community service, and work experience
  4. Two (2) letters of recommendation from teachers, employers, or community leaders
  5. A 250-word essay on one of the following two topics:
    • Describe a challenge you have faced and how it helped shape your character, goals, or future plans
    • Post graduation from college, how do you see yourself contributing to Douglas County or your future home town?

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be evaluated based on:

  • Completeness and quality of the application
  • Content and presentation of the essay
  • Performance during an in-person interview

Application Deadline:  May 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Selected applicants will be contacted via email to schedule an in-person interview.
